honor code

Serving in a leadership capacity at Victory is entrusted to those who have a passion for leading others and for taking intentional next steps that further their spiritual growth.

The Leadership Honor Code provides a standard that reflects the heart of Victory Family Church and Pastor John and Michelle Nuzzo, so that all Dream Team Leaders can do their best to live and lead in ways that help to keep other believers from stumbling in their walk with the Lord.

We’re not perfect, but as a leader we commit to grow in these practices.

  1. We put God first. We make God the priority in our everyday life by reading the Bible, spending time in worship, cultivating a Spirit-led life, and tithing and giving consistently.

  2. We walk in humility. We honor each other and the spiritual authority and direction of Victory’s pastoral and Staff Leadership Team.

  3. We set a good example. We do our best to speak, dress, and behave in ways that honor God in all areas of our life, refraining from unhealthy behaviors and attitudes (e.g., gossip, swearing, smoking, and/or drinking too much alcohol), and sexual immorality as defined by the scriptures.

  4. We are faithful. We keep our commitments, and we cultivate this value in others.

  5. We connect. We invest in and care for the people on our team, and we look for opportunities to make connections with people we don’t know.

  6. We serve with joy. We follow Jesus’ example of servant-leadership as we lead and develop others.

  7. We delegate and empower. We look for ways to call out the gifts in others and entrust them with developmental leadership opportunities that help to create “WOW” experiences for our members and guests.
